Santa Monica Airport neighbors group Concerned Residents Against Airport Pollution has endorsed Janice Hahn for Congress in California’s 36th District, in a very closely-watched election race.
The text of the endorsement cites Hahn’s willingness to address issues around noise fumes, and highlights her decision to sign a four-point pledge on airport policy issues. Hahn’s website also touts her “effort to stop the expansion of LAX and instead modernize the airport,” as well as her focus on clean air and green jobs, as well as her endorsements from environmental groups.
Hahn’s opponent, Craig Huey, refused to meet with airport neighbors, and makes no mention of airport or environmental issues on his website.
